Travel & Stay
Fountain Point
We chose Fountain Point because we wanted to make a full weekend out of it, and we'd love to have everyone stay on-site to take advantage of everything it offers.
Â
The resort can house 128 people between its cottages and hotel rooms, right on the water.

From Friday, August 20th to Sunday, August 22nd, you're welcome to stay on-site and enjoy scenic views, boating, swimming, kayaking, lawn games, and more.

For full details on cost, booking, and how room assignments work, visit our Fountain Point page.
If you'd prefer to find different accommodations, we recommend exploring Airbnb/VRBO options in the area.

Things to do
Outdoor Activities
Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore

If you have some extra time during the weekend, Sleeping Bear Dunes is well worth the drive (about 35 minutes from Fountain Point). The park is home to towering dunes overlooking Lake Michigan, miles of beach, and incredible views.
Historic Fishtown

Northern Michigan's commercial fishing heritage remains alive today in Leland's Fishtown! Walk along the docks, amongst the weathered fishing shanties, smokehouses, racks of drying fishing nets, and fish tugs on the Leland River. Many of the shanties now house delightful gift and clothing boutiques, art galleries and specialty food shops.
Clay Cliffs Nature Area: The Leelanau Conservancy

Just north of Leland, Clay Cliffs Natural Area is a beautiful spot for a shorter outing, a great option if you don't have time for the full Sleeping Bear Dunes experience. The preserve sits on a narrow stretch of land between Lake Michigan and Lake Leelanau, with sweeping views of both.
Pyramid Point Trail

Part of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, located near Glen Arbor, Pyramid Point is one of the best views in the area.
Leelanau State Park

Located at the tip of the little finger on the beautiful Leelanau Peninsula, Leelanau State Park has more than 1519 acres waiting for visitors to explore. The park showcases the Grand Traverse Lighthouse Museum.
