About Fountain Point

Fountain Point Resort is a historic lakeside retreat on the shores of Lake Leelanau in northern Michigan, and it's where we'll be getting married! Established in 1889 and designated a National Historic Site, the resort sits on 54 acres of manicured lawns and woodlands with nearly half a mile of panoramic shoreline. The property includes 19 cottages and a 13-room hotel, and is located about 30 minutes north of Traverse City, near Sleeping Bear Dunes, Lake Michigan, and the Leelanau wine country.

Amenities

Guests have access to a sandy beach with complimentary use of canoes, paddle boards, and kayaks. It's a place to unplug, enjoy the outdoors, and soak in the best of northern Michigan.

Your Stay at Fountain Point

Here's how it works:

  • Just let us know you'd like to stay at Fountain Point when you RSVP, and we'll take it from there. No need to contact Fountain Point directly.

  • Stays cover both Friday and Saturday nights. We're unable to reserve rooms for a single night.

  • The anticipated cost is $175–$250 per person for the full weekend, depending on whether you're placed in the Big House (hotel) or a cottage.

  • Room assignments are based on group size. We'll keep friends and family together, and you're guaranteed to be placed with anyone you RSVP with. Let us know who you'd like to room with and any preferences or needs.

  • Once we've received RSVPs, we'll organize room placements and be in touch about your placement, final cost, and payment details. 

  • Check-in is at 4pm on Friday, and check-out is at 11am on Sunday.

  • Please RSVP with your interest by March 1st.
